Boat name

Radjel FY270

Fishing Method

Gill Netting, Hook and line

Will Shugg has been fishing full time since he was fifteen. He has worked on tuna boats in the bay of biscay, trawlers in the irish sea and all manner of other large fishing boats. In 2007 he bought his current boat the 6.55meter wooden vessel the Radjel. The boat is perfect for use from the port of Mevagissey as it was built there by John Moore, and Will reports she is an excellent sea boat.

Will fishes alone and does a bit of handlining when the fishing is good but mainly he is netting for mackerel and sole in St Austell bay and surrounds.

He takes great care of his catch and lands his top quality fish direct to Plymouth Fish market.
